Velvet Blazer

By | Style | No Comments

Hi Ladies!

I’ve really enjoyed the resurgence of velvet this season. The variations of how designers and brands have used this amazing fabric has been so cool. I mean if you wear clothes pretty much you can find a velvet piece to add to your wardrobe…LOL! Whether its a dress, pants, skirt, scarf, leggings, and my favorite the classic blazer there is a velvet garment with your name on it.

I was online shopping late one night when I laid my eyes on this pink one i’m wearing and let me tell you I could not check out quick enough. You have to be fast these days when shopping on the web because there are those have to have pieces that sell out in a flash and this one did just that.  Its now sold out.

But no worries I’ve got you all covered. I did some hunting online and found a few other fabulous options. Blazers can be worn so many ways and on so many occasions. That’s the reason season after season we gals continue to reach for them when pulling together our looks.

Fall Flowers

By | Style | No Comments

Hi Ladies!

Just checking in to say a quick, “hello.” I’ve been super busy the last couple of weeks trying to secure the bag…LOL! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was super special because I was able to have some alone time with my daughter who I affectionally refer to as, “mini me.” We did see vintage shopping, I took her and my son to a musical, we ate a whole lot, but most of all I simply enjoyed spending time with her. Her living in NYC has been a challenge but I know she’s chasing her dreams so that makes me happy and very proud.

The look i’m wearing is a great mix of high and low pieces. The top and pants are from H&M. The entire set was under $50 bucks

I was drawn to the color. I actually love green on my skin tone and need to wear it more often. The floral pattern just made me happy when I tried it on so I just couldn’t leave the store without it.

I’ve linked the set i’m wearing below.

Have a great week!

Each watch comes packaged in a beautiful wood box that includes a pillow for storing your timepiece as well as wood oil to keep your watch just as beautiful as the day you receive it.

Athleisure

By | Style | No Comments

Hi Ladies!

Athleisure is one of my favorites styles pull together. You achieve this look when you wear clothing designed for working out or lounging and wear it the the office, school or other social settings. The idea is to amp the look up a bit by adding a high heel, a cool booties, or killer accessories…you get the idea.

I love the athleisure trend and I wear it on a regular basis. Its so stylish but yet not overdone. For the ladies who love to dress up but want to do it in a different way the athleisure trend is a perfect way to experiment with your wardrobe. We all have workout clothing in our drawers, a sweatshirt or a pair of joggers. You can mix and match the items together and add a heel, a nice lip color and I promise you’ll love the look.

I decided to go with a mustard color loose fitting jogging pant with a jacket I would typically wear on a run. I loved how the nude heel complimented the trench with this look. The trench is so extra and you all know I love extra. The oversized pockets and sleeve detail is just the type of extra I like!! If you don’t have a trench you need to get one. A trench is just so versatile and a closet staple every woman should have.

Ladies, explore your closets. If you don’t have anything like this in your wardrobe I included a similar set below. The trench is still available so i’ve added that link as well.

Blue Velvet

By | Style | No Comments

Hi Ladies!
I’m crushing on this beautiful blue!! This dress is a show stopper. I have plans with some gal pals this weekend. So i’m in outfit planning mode and i’m seriously considering wearing this dress. I’m always excited when I find a dress that I like. Dresses are easy to style. You don’t have to overthink it too much. Just add some accessories that compliment the dress and finish off with a shoe and you’re done. Pretty much a no brainer and you can’t really screw up pulling a dress together in a cohesive look. I mean you can…but for the most part most women can get it right…LOL!

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect velvet dress that wasn’t black. I wanted it to pop in color and have some special details. I was online and came across this beautiful blue off the shoulder dress from Asos. The color immediately caught my eye. Its so rich I knew it would look well on my skin tone.

I also really like the fact that you can wear it off the shoulder or not. The ruched sleeve detail was the perfect addition to the dress as well. I typically gravitate to gold accessories but I went with silver and i’m happy I did. The silver really pops and compliments the dress beautifully.

I finished the look off with this cute furry bag. Furry bags are so on trend right now. This is an item that I would not spend a ton of money on because they are super trendy. So this one from FreePeople was perfect! I finished off the look with a pair of silver booties and honey its now a look! The bag and booties are also both on sale!

Sweatshirt + Sequin

By | Style | No Comments

Hi Ladies!

Whew!!! Where do I begin? I know its been a minute since i’ve posted a blog but your girl has been all over the place. I’ve been traveling over the past two weeks which has thrown my schedule way off. So I’ve been in catch up mode since Sunday, answering emails, returning phone calls, physically opening mail and so on. Thats the one issue I have with traveling besides packing. I’m always excited to jump on a plane but I dread the pile up of work when I get back home that waits for me upon my return.

Anyway, let me give you all the details on this look because this is why you’re here right?! I saw this skirt and had to have it. You all know my love for anything sparkly (in a tasteful way). I knew I wanted to style it in avery different way. I decided on a casual street style vibe.

I live in hoodies in the fall and Champion hoodies never disappoint. They wear well, they’re great quality and hold up wash after wash. If you haven’t jumped on the hoodie band wagon what are you waiting for?! Hoodies are no longer just for the weekend or running errands.

I finished off the look with my new Jimmy Choo booties in metallic gold. Gold and silver booties are right on trend this season, but in my opinion they’re always in style. This particular pair are very comfy as well which is an added bonus.

The items i’m wearing are linked below.

Jumpsuit + Desert Boot

By | Style | No Comments

Hi Ladies,

I posted this look on the gram and received a ton of dm’s about it so I thought I would post a quick blog and give you all the details! I am a denim lover, but sometimes I don’t want to have to think about what top to pair with my jeans. Whenever that happens I reach for one of my denim jumpsuits. I own several different styles. Some are long sleeve, some are darker wash, some are chambray material for warmer weather. It just depends on the occasion and my mood which one I decide to wear.

This one I love because it can be dressed up or down. I went for a casual vibe. But it looked super killer when I tried it on with a pair of heels as well. I also like the one pocket detail on the back. Makes the booty look fab! LOL

Now lets talk about these boots!!! They are AMAZING! My girl I shop with at Louis Vuitton had to search high and low to locate me a pair. They are from this past seasons resort collection. If you’re interested in purchasing a pair I would suggest calling Louis Vuitton or going in to your local store and have them to search the entire company for you.

I finished the look off with a gold metallic soft beret and my Sonix sunnies.

I’ve attached links to items i’m wearing below.

Business Twist

By | Style | No Comments

Hi Ladies!

This week has been amazingly good! I’ve been doing some rebranding for the blog and i’m very happy the way things are turning out. I’ve spent this week fine tuning media materials as well as brainstorming with other creatives on some upcoming projects. Things are happening y’all!

I also attended the launch party for Nashville Fashion Week 2018, which was a blast. I was a guest of my gal Kimberly Lewis, owner of the fabulous women’s boutique Emerson Grace. You ladies definitely need to check out her boutique! The clothing is super stylish, and the shoes are too die for. She has a team of stylists on staff that will help you get yourself all the way pulled together.

I have to say i’m walking into work today with a little extra pep in my step. I love the feeling of positive productivity. Knocking things off my action list puts me in the best mood and sets me on the right path to achieving my personal as well as business goals.

This look is ideal to kick off this Friday and to celebrate all I was able to get done this week. Its all business with a little bit of play. Every lady should have a basic black pencil skirt in their wardrobe. Its the one piece you’ll grab over and over again because there so many ways to style it.

I loved adding the hot pink Gucci sock and shoe to finish the look off. Its the perfect look for a fashionista like myself to rock to the office. These shoes are so much fun! I find myself wearing them a lot more than I thought I would.

As usual the pieces i’m wearing or similar items are linked below.

Beret + Trench

By | Style | No Comments

Hi Ladies!

This post is all about this cool beret and this amazing trench. I’m loving this beret because its leather. I wore berets last season and typically they’re all pretty much the same. But this one is so unique because of the leather and the cute little tie in the back. The structure is so good ladies…You’ll feel like a rockstar when you wear this hat!

Now lets talk about this trench. The off white color looks good with everything. I personally wouldn’t wear a true bright white trench during the Fall. But this one works for me because the off white is the perfect shade. The length is totally drama. And i’m always down for clothing thats dramatic. Finally the contrast of the black buttons are just super fun! This look is such a good look for an autumn day.

The trench I purchased last season. I tried to find online and its sold out everywhere. But I did link a couple of similar options below.

Street Style #NYFW

By | Style | No Comments

Hi Ladies!

Have you all been keeping up with all of the fashion shows and events during New York Fashion Week?! I’m certain i’ve doubled the time I normally spend on instagram trying to keep up with all of the action. Whats your favorite part of #NYFW? My favorite are the street style shots! I love the individuality and the carefree feel of these images. So I decided to give you a street style #NYFW inspired look to kick off the week.

I started with the pants and then added the other pieces from there. I love the retro feel of these Zara leggings. The high waist and the split in the front sold them for me. I knew that I wanted to add some more color so I went with this cool Bob Marley tee from UrbanOutfitters. I finished the look off with a long cardigan and my metallic Gucci heels and DONE!

Street Style is so much fun. Play around in your closet. Mix and match your pieces together. Rock your tennis shoes with your pencil skirt. Add a beret to your suit and a cross body bag. There are so many ways to achieve street style. The possibilities are endless.

I’ve tagged the items i’m wearing below.
